There is an issue with the product I pre-ordered. What can I do?Updated a year ago

This should be a rare occurrence, as you have plenty of opportunity to write to the product creator while their campaign is live to ask them specific questions about the item you have pre-ordered.

If you receive a product that is faulty or doesn't work you can return the item to the creator and claim a 100% refund (less the cost of shipping the defective product back to the creator). 

If you are dissatisfied with the product for other reasons and you wish to return the item, please contact the creator to find out if you can send the product back to them. Some campaigns allow buyers to return products for aesthetic reasons; others don't.

If you are allowed to return the product, you must do so within 14 days of receiving it and pay for the delivery costs to do so.
