Do I ever have to pay additional shipping costs?Updated a year ago

When you pre-order a product, part of your purchase covers the cost of delivering the product to you, should the campaign be successful.

If the campaign is successful there are no additional shipping costs.

On the other hand, if the campaign is unsuccessful, because the product doesn't pre-sell enough units before the deadline or if you never receive delivery of the product you pre-ordered, you receive 100% of your money back, including the portion of the price you paid to cover shipping costs.

However, if you wish to return a product that you have received (if the terms of the specific campaign allow), you would contact its creator via their vendor profile page and arrange to send the product to them in the post. In this limited circumstance, you would be responsible for paying the shipping costs of returning the product to the creator.
